This condition is most common. It is caused by the pulling of the plantar facia from the heel bone. This is a common issue for children aged 8-12. Two options are available to treat heel pain that continues after treatment. One option is to use platelet rich Plasma (PRP) injections, the other is shockwave treatment. Surgery is not common today.
